In August 2014, Nicky made waves at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with her debut solo show, ‘Nicky Gayner’s Empty Nest,’ captivating audiences with her heartfelt performances. That same year, she enjoyed a sold-out residency at The Pheasantry and brought ‘Empty Nest’ to the vibrant Metropolitan Room in New York. Her international appeal shone through in 2015 as she embarked on a tour across Zimbabwe and Norway.
The magic continued in 2016 with the debut of ‘Hooray For Love’ at Wilton’s Music Hall. This delightful show enchanted audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with 20 unforgettable performances before returning to London for an autumn season at The Pheasantry. In 2017, Nicky took ‘Hooray For Love’ to the idyllic Maldives, spreading joy and love wherever she went.
December 2018 marked the debut of ‘Unashamedly Christmas,’ a festive extravaganza that has since become a beloved holiday tradition in London. With sold-out shows at The Pheasantry, The Crazy Coqs at Brasserie Zedel, and Wilton’s Music Hall, this show is a must-see for anyone looking to add a touch of magic to their Christmas celebrations. In April and May 2024, Nicky’s ‘Musical Memories’ took The Pheasantry by storm. Cabaret Scenes praised it as a “tender ode to nostalgia,” a celebration of melodies that transcend time and space, leaving audiences with a lasting impression.
May 2026 saw Nicky collaborate with Musical Director Tom Wakeley to present ‘Listen to Her Heart: A Tribute to Nancy Lamott’ at The Crazy Coqs. Directed by Broadway composer and conductor David Friedman, this tribute was a resounding success and is set to return next year, hopefully gracing both London and New York stages.
